About Stoke Park Gun Club

Stoke Park Gun Club is set in woodland on the outskirts of the well known Canalside village of Stoke Bruerne in Northamptonshire.

The club was formed in 1982 when the landowner, Geoff Smart was asked if he could get a team to shoot in a new winter league, which would become known as 'The Northants Sporting Clay League', he managed to encourage his friends to join him for the first club shoot 'The Stoke Park Gun Club' was born.

The first year of the winter league was good for the club but not good enough, so those friends of Geoff's asked their shooting friends to join. During the summer months the club held a number of shoots for its new members and in the winter the club won the league.

The membership has gradually increased over the years to approximately 100 members this year.

Our main type of shooting is English Sporting, however, the club does have a Skeet range.
